  1. Long over due update

I should have posted this in January after I finished the chemo and had the last CT scan. The liver mets are gone and the bone mets were radiated to help control the pain. I was able to cut back some on the pain meds which I think is a good thing. I have also started back to work this week. WooHoo I'm doing well. This goes to show how much power there is in prayer. Without it I don't think I would be doing as well. Thanks to everyone who prayed.

  2. Chemo Saga

Yesterday's chemo went well, No real nausea but some minor queasiness but otherwise OK. Today was different. I had the CT scan as scheduled and to accompany that afterward was some nausea and fatigue. I went to oncology for some Zofran and fluids which helped stop the nausea,. Lunch was provided as well which was a good thing.

I may or may not need more Zodran tonight I'll see how UI am feeling latter. Enough of my rambling, thanks for listening, Love Lana

  4. And the saga continues

It has been a while since I was here but them I figured the chemo I was taking was supposed to be doing something toward shrinking/killing cancer cells. It turns out that the opposite is true. While it may have been working on cancer cells in other parts of my body the cancer cells in the liver were not being affected by it in any way. The lesions continued to grow and there are more of them. I am hoping this new chemo will make a difference and not just make me nauseous.

    I have found ...

While it has been some time since I have been here. I have had some interesting developments. My blood pressure is now hovering around 85-90/60. This means I definitely take it easy standing up. I don't know why the BP is down.

I have some swelling in the right lower leg which cannot be explained. The DR has tested twice for DVT (blood clots) but both times the tests came back clear. Therefore we still don't know why the swelling. I think it may be a side effect of either the chemo ...
