    Default Crazy Sexy cancer tips

a book written by Kris Carr

i've just bought this book today. i saw a copy of it at my gyn. oncologist's office at my last check up. seems this book is getting a little hype so i decided to pick it up and give it go.

after i've read it, i'll post my likes, dislikes, feelings about it.

    anybody else read this book?

i'm about half way through the book. there are some funny things, some irreverent things, matter of fact things, silly and crazy and tearful things all wrapped up in this book. it's an easy read, chapters are relatively short. reading it brings back alot of memories for me. it also makes me feel that i was so alone during my darkest days. kris has what she calls a 'posse'. a group of friends that share all her moments and journey with her. this is something i did not have.

although i don't agree with kris carr's religious view in her book, i do think that that tips in the book can be useful. i could say, take the tips that will apply and leave the rest. kris carr is a celebrity of sorts and had/has access to more cash and therefore experiences than what the normal or "unfamous" person might have. her friends, aka Posse, are made up of successful business women, famous people and so on and i'm prety sure that nobody around here has that kind of support system available. but all in all, many of the things kris carr gives points on can be used by the common survivor with some success.

if i were rating the book, i think i'd give it a B. it can reach the common survivor on some levels.
