Lance Armstrong and the fertility issue of cancer
i was going to get this posted the other day but just didn't take the time.
we all know, or might know, if you are just starting out on your cancer survivor journey, that chemo and radiation, can leave a patient infertile. at least that is what the documentation has led us to believe.
Lance Armstong, a cancer survivor himself, is 'pregnant' with his girlfriend. although Armstrong used other methods to impregnant his now ex-wife, this pregnancy was done the old fashioned way.
"Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful," he says in a statement. "We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts."
He adds: "We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family."
i saw on a news report that about 2/3 of the men with testicular cancer are able to father a child.
