after i was diagnosed and i shared my news to a couple of very special friends at my atkins board, one of the friends bought and sent me a copy of this book. at the time, i was devasted by the news that i had cancer. it was consuming my every thought and so many negative things were in my mind all the time.
this book is compiled of stories from cancer survivors and in at least one case, the family members of a cancer patient. it is a book of hope. people with far worse diagnosis than mine were able to write about their survivorship and it led me to know that i could survive this invasion of my body.

if you can get the book, it's well worth the cost. i gave my copy to another cancer survivor while doing radiation but was able to purchase another copy via the internet.
