Default exercise such as it is

I am not doing extensive exercise right now. Although with my job I average walking about 4 miles. I will be starting more walking once the snow is finally gone. That may be the middle/end of April. Gotta love the central interior of BC for the weather we get. I would like to do some upper body strength training but won't do that until I know what is happening with my left rib.

My mother has cancer and is going through chemo, and on some days she is fine but other days she talks like she just wishes it would all just end. What should i say to her to make her feel better? What can i say that she hasn't heard b/4 that might actually help? I don't want her to give up. I need her too much........
