Default Early detection of Cancer in men

If you would compare the ration of women and men who would be inclined to go to a doctor or would opt for regular health check ups, you would see that 25% less would be the figure which would indicate the number of men taking such precautionary measures. To read more: http://cancertypesinfo.com/2010/01/e...cancer-in-men/

Nice informative post. Some common cancers are easier to treat and cure if they are found early. There are many different types of cancer, but most cancers begin when abnormal cells grow out of control and form a lump (called a tumor). The tumor can continue to grow until the cancer begins to spread to other parts of the body. If the tumor is found when it is still small and has not yet spread, curing the cancer can be easy. However, the longer the tumor goes unnoticed, the greater the chance that the cancer has spread. This usually makes treatment more difficult.

Prostate cancer can often be found early by testing the amount of prostate-specific antigen in the blood. Another way to find prostate cancer is the digital rectal exam , in which your doctor puts a gloved finger into the rectum to feel the prostate gland. If the results of either one of these tests are abnormal, further testing is needed to see if there is a cancer.

Men have the tendency to wait to see if the concern can be cure on its own and hence would avoid doctor’s intervention till the point possible. This is what is making more and more men the prey of cancer. The cure for cancer is still not there. But we can take some preventive measures for the cancer to spread and take a really bad form. The early detection of cancer would help curing the cancer completely to certain extent. But then when there are men who are ignoring these warning signs – then you can’t expect that to happen. The most common cancers that men are diagnosed for are Esophageal Cancer, Male breast cancer, Testicular cancer and Skin cancer – melanoma.
